Equalities objectives summary:

The percentage of disadvantaged* children in Key Stage 2 achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing, and Maths will be in-line with or above national average (for disadvantaged children). At least 85% of disadvantaged children in Year 1 will pass the Phonics Screening Check. 

The attendance rate of disadvantaged children will be at least 95%. 

To improve the reporting of the progress of our children with Special Educational Needs, so that children, staff, and parents are aware of every SMART target set and the outcome of any interventions. 

To improve the children’s knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a Christian school and to improve children’s knowledge and attitudes to appreciate and value difference and diversity. 

 * The Government uses the term disadvantaged as a collective term for: 

-Pupils who have been eligible for Free Schools Meals (FSM) at any point over the last 6 years;

-Pupils who have been looked after (in the care of the Local Authority) continuously for at least one day in the last year;

-Pupils who have left care through a formal route such as adoption.
