Pupils at South Malling School wear a uniform, which, in addition to being practical and cost effective, encourages the children to take a pride in their appearance. South Malling’s distinctive uniform gives our pupils a sense of belonging and effectively represents a united school to the wider community. Uniform is available locally from Intersport in Cliffe High Street. Good quality second-hand uniform can be purchased at the school and sales take place on a regular basis.
Purple school cardigan or sweatshirt or fleece.
Black plain style shoes or sandals or plain all-black trainers.
Sun hat (all hats offering adequate sun protection are acceptable). Purple hats are available from the school.
No jewellery or make-up should be worn to school with the exception of a wristwatch. Those with pierced ears may wear small gold or silver studs.
All P.E. kit (plain white T-shirt, purple shorts, plimsolls, socks) should be named and kept in a P.E. bag on the pegs provided.
Knee length mid-grey skirt, pinafore, culottes or trousers. (A skirt falling just above or below the knee will be acceptable.)
Long or short sleeved white blouse, white polo shirt or purple school polo shirt.
Plain white, black or grey socks or tights.
